We’ve been shortlisted in the ‘Water Conservation’ category at the National Sustainability News - National Sustainability Awards 2025 for our efforts in reducing water use at our Spennymoor Factory!

We’re thrilled to share that we’ve been shortlisted in the ‘Water Conservation’ category at the National Sustainability News - National Sustainability Awards 2025 for our pioneering efforts in reducing water use at our Spennymoor Factory!

Water & Waste Minimisation Highlights:

In partnership with Northumbrian Water, we’ve halved our water consumption – thanks to innovative solutions like:

  • Flow sensors
  • Reuse pumps
  • Conductivity monitoring

Smarter water reuse:

Rinse tank water is now reused in chemical tanks, dramatically reducing waste.

Hazardous waste reduction:

Our new evaporator has already reduced hazardous waste output by 70 tonnes, with a projected annual saving of 100 tonnes — a 40% reduction.

Material efficiency gains:

Thanks to better material usage, moulding scrap reuse, and gear tray innovations, we’ve eliminated 130 tonnes of waste!

This recognition reflects our continued commitment to sustainable manufacturing and responsible supply practices.
