Why we need PEC?

In parallel with a period of rapid social change and an ageing society, lighting installation design is being influenced by changing working conditions and tasks on the one hand, and a general demand for improved health, safety and environmental standards on the other.

PEC challenges much of today’s lighting design - often based on a simplistic "physical" view of lighting. Lighting should not only be focused on meeting minimum light levels and standards, but should be sociologically and psychologically enabling.

What does PEC achieve?

It delivers effective and efficient lighting designed for people to fulfil all their visual needs:

  • Make work tasks visible and easier to accomplish
  • Provide source of comfort in a hospital waiting room
  • Maximise safety in a busy factory
  • Create atmosphere in a restaurant
  • Establish calm and privacy in a hectic office
  • Stimulate learning in a children’s classroom
  • Provide reassurance in a lonely park
  • Support circadian cycles to help workers feel alert
  • Improve clarity on the tennis court
  • Reduce search and sorting mistakes in a large warehouse
  • PEC puts the right light in the right place at the right time.

PEC puts the right light in the right place at the right time.
