Lighting refurbishment project at the University of Lincoln wins LuxLive 2013 Award

The winner of this years LuxLive 2013 Recycling Award was the University of Lincoln for its recent refit and recycle programme in conjunction with Thorn.

The project will see a reduction in energy useage by 62% and 3,000 luminaires will be recycled. Paul Bussoopun, Key Account Manager for Thorn has worked closely with Phil Lawson the Electrical Project Services Engineer from the University of Lincoln to ensure the project to ensure the project met its green credential targets.

The Lux Awards are a prestigous event with the lighting industry's top people in attendance. All the winners were chosen by a panel of 15 judges and they received the Lux Award trophy which is created from recycled lamp glass.
