Enter Urban Development Initiatives, sponsored by Thorn
Urban Developments and Initiatives sets about finding a project which is making a pioneering contribution to greater sustainability and quality of life, as well as presenting innovative potential solutions to the core issues facing urban development. It focuses on city development/planning strategies, master plans, public spaces, ongoing research projects and social initiatives designed to enhance urban and social settings. The new category is ideally placed for submissions from urban and landscape planners, architectural practices, universities and NGOs, as well as private and public initiatives.
Projects may be ongoing or concluded within the last two years. Entries open Saturday 1 September and close Saturday 30 November 2013. The international panel of judges will meet in 2014 to nominate five projects and select a winner from these five. The presentation ceremony is scheduled for autumn 2014 in Berlin.
